Find your footballing ancestors online and at the museum
We get lots of enquiries from people researching their family history, looking for relatives who have played the game at amateur or professional level.
As we hold an extensive archive of FA and Football League records you can find out when and where your family member was registered, even how many games they played for any league club.
However, detailed research isn't an easy job, and access to the records isn't always possible. We're currently working on an exciting project to digitise these records and enable museum visitors and online researchers to track their footballing ancestors with more ease.
