Digital Placements

The National Football Museum is now offering one-to-one digital skills and multimedia placements for free to Manchester residents.

Suitable for learners who wish to gain some confidence in digital media, these placements explore the creation of web videos from planning to post production. Learners will have the chance to plan and pitch their own videos, and then shoot them using quality production equipment under the guidance of the team’s Digital Coordinator.

Participants will then learn and develop fundamental skills in professional creative software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Audition and Adobe Premiere Pro to create highly polished multimedia suitable for the demands of an online audience. The ideal learner for this placement does not need to have any experience with any of these elements.

They will learn valuable creative skills and leave their placement feeling more confident with digital media. The learners will have the chance to develop and demonstrate transferable problem solving, planning, and team working skills in a creative and interactive learning environment.

Additionally, this is a great chance for learners to network with museum staff and learn about the routines and processes which bring our amazing football collection to life.

This placement lasts for 10 hours in total, and is usually offered on a Monday-Friday basis over week. The museum will consider rescheduling requests to suit learners. For more information, please contact our Digital Coordinator, David Mansell, on david.mansell@nationalfootballmuseum.com.
