Enjoy your half-time interval this February half term

12 February 2018

The school term is into the final week of added time, and the holidays are almost upon us. What is your strategy for a fun-filled February half term?

The National Football Museum is here to help with your tactical team talk. We have a range of games, activities and events for the whole family to enjoy, designed to get you off the bench and into the beautiful game.

Kick off proceedings with a trip through time on one of our Going to the Match tours. Experience the sights, smells and sounds of yesteryear, investigate some of our most interesting objects, and dress up in traditional fans' clothing as we transport you back to a bygone age of football fandom.

Playmakers can bring football to life on Tuesdays and Fridays with Animating Histories, using museum objects and advanced technology to create stop-motion animations. Alternatively, you can contribute to history itself with our Play On textile workshops, creating a unique artwork for display at the largest women's football conference in the world.

Once you're fully warmed up, get in the game with our Football Skills sessions, running every weekday at 11am, 1pm and 3pm from Monday 19 to Friday 23 February. Sharpen up those technical skills, work on fitness drills and find out how to take the perfect penalty in our free 30-minute sessions, ideal for 7 to 12-year-olds.

Prefer managing to playing? Select your ultimate side and trade your way to glory in our regular Match Attax swap sessions. In addition to our regular Sunday sessions, collectors have two more chances to build the very best team, with our swap station also open on Monday 19 and Friday 23 February.

Under-7s can cool down with one of English football's most famous canine adventures. Story Time: How Pickles Saved the World Cup tells the tale of Pickles, the Collie who rescued the Jules Rimet trophy, just in time for England to win it! Young visitors can help the pooch sniff out the World Cup in this fun and engaging session on Thursday 22 February.

Fans of all ages can enjoy our fascinating museum tours, as well as taking one last opportunity to see some of our closing exhibitions, including The Football Crest Index and Pelé: Art, Life, Football.

Lessons will be kicking off again before you know it, so make the most of your half-time break at the National Football Museum.
