Games, Skills & Magic: Make a Play Date this Half Term

8 February 2017

The National Football Museum is the place to play this Half Term, with games and activities for all ages.

Gamers will be in heaven when they head up to Level 4 of the museum for our pop-up Arcade Club (Tues 14 Feb – Sun 5 March, £5 per person, under 4s free: unlimited play on machines for day of admission). Over 50 original arcade machines from the last 4 decades make a fun, playable history of video gaming. From Space Invaders and Pacman to Virtua Striker and Super Hang-On, there’s something for gamers of all ages to get their teeth into.

Superstar freestyler John Farnworth brings his magical stage show to the museum on Tuesday 21 Feb (shows at 5.30pm & 7.30pm, tickets £5). John Farnworth Live is a 60-minute spectacular featuring astonishing freestyle skills and amazing feats of magic. An all-ages evening out at the museum.

Our free, drop-in Skills Sessions (daily, Mon 20 Feb – Friday 25 Feb, 11am & 2pm) will keep our younger visitors on their toes with a workout led by our own coaches.

For something a bit less active, come and try our free Subutteo Sessions (Sat 11, Sat 18, 22-25 Feb, 12-3pm) and relive the classic home football game – or introduce a new generation for their first flick!

Plus there’s plenty more to see and do at the world’s biggest and best sports museum. With craft sessions for kids and Match Attax swap-meets, and four floors of galleries providing a hands-on history of the beautiful game, check out our What's On page for more half term events!
