Ghoulish games and activities this Halloween

19 October 2017

Prepare for a frightfully fun time at the National Football Museum this half term, with ghoulish games and activities across Halloween.

Try out some of our chilling challenges in Trick or Feat (Sat 28 Oct); can you complete Football Plus+ tricks and various feats in the Hall of Fame area? Those who dare to venture towards the shop can uncover our Trick or Treat Lockers (Fri 27 Oct), where top prizes and nasty surprises await foolhardy visitors.

Put your shooting skills to the test to take down our mischievous Penalty Piñata (Sat 28 & Sun 29 Oct); grab the mic, don your desired costume and scare your friends with some seriously Creepy Commentary (Sat 28 – Tues 31 Oct); and get those bones moving in our free Skeleton Skills sessions (11am & 1pm, every day excl. Sun 29 Oct).

There's nothing scary about a little half-term learning this October.

Experience what it was like for football fans through the ages at our Going to the Match tours (Mon 23 & Mon 30 Oct; Wed 1 Nov), and learn more about pioneering mixed-race footballer and soldier Walter Tull as part of Black History Month (Thurs 26 Oct & Thurs 2 Nov). There's also the opportunity to bring footballing history to life using cutting-edge technology with Animating Histories (Fri 27 Oct) in the atrium.

Younger visitors can find out about Pickles, England's World Cup hero, in our fun-filled storytelling sessions (Mon 23 & Mon 30 Oct), and can even design their very own football emblems, taking inspiration from our new Football Crest Index exhibition.

Match Attax swap sessions (Wed 25 & Sun 29 Oct), Subbuteo with Manchester Table FC (Fri 27 Oct) and Sav's Big Mouth all return to haunt the Hall of Fame, rounding out a spook-tacular programme of spine-tingling, family-friendly activities!
