THE JOHN MEACHIN COLLECTION - A FIFA REFEREE

John B. Meachin (1941-2001) played for Aston Villa, Manchester United and Manchester City in the 1950s, before moving to America . He started to referee internationally from 1967 and, as an accredited FIFA referee, it took him across Canada and the Americas, from the World University Games in Mexico 1982 to world championships in Chile, Honduras, Mexico and China. Later he worked for the Canadian Soccer Referees Committee and became President of the British Columbia Soccer Association.

The objects of his collection are on loan from his family.
