Reading supporter's flag celebrating the historic promotion of Reading FC to the Premiership, May 2006

The little boy who donated this flag went to see the Reading football team on their celebration parade through Reading town centre after they got promoted to the Premiership last year. He wrote down his memories of that day and what the flag means to him:

My dad took me and my sisters to see Reading Football Club go through the town in an open top bus. He bought us all flags and horns. There were lots of people there and I could not see a thing! I brought the flag to Preston when we moved here and gave the flag to the National Football Museum. Sometimes if I see the flag in the Museum, I will look at it and remember that day.
