Preston Museums & Schools in Partnership

Preston Museums and Schools in Partnership consists of four Preston Museums, primary and secondary schools in Preston and creative practitioners in Lancashire.  The four museums are:

National Football Museum
Harris Museum and Art Gallery
Museum of Lancashire
Queen’s Lancashire Regiment Museum

National Football Museum Literacy Session 3: Create a Football Club!
National Football Museum Literacy Session 4: Instructions!
National Football Musuem Literacy Session 5: Dance the Game!

Funded by MLA (Museums, Libraries and Archives Council) the partnership has devised a number of literacy session plans across the four museums, since May 2007.  We hope that the session plans will be accessible to all schools in Lancashire, and look forward to welcoming you at our museums.

We also recommend that a planning session takes place with the museum professional (and creative practitioner) either at the museum, your school or on the telephone.  This will enable you to tailor the museum visit and follow-up session to best suit your school’s particular needs.

We hope that our new Literacy Session Plans will help your school to fulfil key objectives outlined in:
