Leisure and Toursim (GCSE Double Module) - National Football Museum

Marketing

The Education Officer, a former secondary school teacher of Leisure and Tourism double award GCSE, will give an illustrated talk on this theme.

Pupils will be provided with a questionnaire on arrival and answers will be given orally to students and in written form for teaching staff.

The talk will cover;

- Marketing of the Museum (as a tourist attraction),
- The Marketing Mix,
- A SWOT analysis,
- Market research.

There will be opportunities for questions and exercise will be provided for students related to marketing the Museum.

Customer Service

The Education Officer will give an illustrated talk on this theme.

Pupils will be provided with a questionnaire on arrival and answers will be given orally to students and in written form for teaching staff.

The talk will cover all aspects of customer service related to the Museum including:

- Staff training,
- Internal and External Customers,
- Dealing with people with Special Needs,
- Evaluation,
- Complaints Procedure.

There will be opportunities for questions and exercises for students related to the Museum will be provided.

The school will be provided with a pack of the types of forms used in Customer Service in the Museum.

These themes can be covered separately or combined in one session which lasts one hour and costs £2 per pupil.

The charge includes the use of an Education Room for lunch if required.
