Paul Cookson - National Football Museum Poet-in-Residence
Paul taught English for five years and has since performed his poetry in thousands of venues all over the country. He has sold over 500,000 books.
Paul Cookson Performance Poetry Sessions
- Paul hosts poetry days each term at the Museum (please ring for dates).
- Pupils can listen to and read, sing and chant poetry as well as having the opportunity to write their own poems and generally have a great time.
- There are three separate sessions of one hour on each day at 10.00am, 11.30am and 1.30pm.
- Schools need to book early, as there is a limited number of 100 places for each session and we expect demand to be great.
- There will be a charge of £2.00 per pupil per session, which includes use of an Education Room for lunch if required.
Paul Cookson Poetry Workshops
- Paul will work with groups of up to 30 pupils.
- The workshops suit pupils of all abilities.
- The sessions work particularly well with Gifted and Talented pupils
- Paul could focus on GCSE coursework .
- The sessions last for two hours and run from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon, or 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm
- The cost of the sessions is £5 per pupil or £100 per group of 30. Minimum group size is 20.
- The charge includes the use of an Education Room for lunch if required.
