The 2006 Hall of fame was held on Thursday October 19th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Liverpool.

The National Football Museum’s Hall of Fame dinner on 19 October 2006 was a huge success - reinforcing its reputation as one of the most prestigious and eagerly anticipated events in the English football calendar.

Ten legends were inducted to the Hall of Fame this year. The prestiguous ceremony at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Liverpool was attended by all but two of the inductees (or their surviving relative) plus a host of other star names attending including Howard Kendall, Alan Ball, Colin Bell, Mark Lawrenson, Phil Thompson, Kevin Sheedy, David Moyes, Ian St John, Sue Lopez, Ron Yates, David Fairclough, Gordon Taylor, Simon Barker, Tommy Smith, Dave Hickson and Derek Mountfield.

With 400 guests attending, it was the biggest Hall of Fame event to date.
