England's most capped goalkeeper with 60 appearances for her country, starting with a 2-1 defeat by West Germany in Bochum on 23 February 1995 through to a 2-0 victory over Denmark at Portsmouth on 19 February 2004.
Cope was a favourite during her six years Charlton and feared by many attackers for her domination of the goalmouth. Several of her comtemporaries described her as "the best keeper" they had ever seen.
