Hall of Fame 2006 - In Pictures ...

Film footage from the 2006 ceremony can be seen in a small exhibition in the entrance area of the National Football Museum.

... and Words

Alan Hansen: "It means alot to me to be selected alongside such illustrious names from the past, including several Liverpool legends. I am very fortunate. I played for a special team at a special time alongside some of the greatest centre backs in the game...In the future, Stephen Gerrard will walk into the Hall of Fame even if he never kicks another ball."

Roger Hunt: "I've been to the last two or three Hall of Fame nights. I thought then it would be a great honour to be inducted myself. And when I received the letter to say that I was, it was a fantastic surprise."

Martin Peters: "Just to think when I was growing up my heroes were the likes of Bert Trautman, Jackie Milburn and Stanley Matthews. To now be on the same list as them is such an honour."

Alan Ball (presented award to Martin Peters and was himself inducted in 2003): "It is one of the proudest moments in your life when someone calls you to say you are in the Hall of Fame. Words cannot describe it. The Museum is a fantastic place to go and should be congratulated for the Hall of Fame. It is a marvellous thing. Let's keep it going."
