National Football Museum presentation at All Party Parliamentary Football Group

On 15 May 2007 the National Football Museum gave a presentation to the All Party Parliamentary Football Group (APPFG), to update this important group of MPs and Members of the House of Lords on the current progress of the Museum and to obtain their feedback.

Alan Keen MP, Chair of the APPFG, said: "I was very impressed by the National Football Museum's presentation to the All Party Parliamentary Football Group.  Football is part of our culture, playing a large part in people's lives, and the National Football Museum does an excellent job in preserving football's rich heritage and bringing this alive for all generations, young and old.  I was particularly proud to have my photograph taken with Stanley Matthews' shirt from the 1953 Cup Final, a game which I remember very clearly.  I heartily commend the National Football Museum on the brilliant work they do for football."

Kevin Moore, Director of the National Football Museum, said: "We are very grateful to Alan Keen MP for the invitation to address the APPFG, and we are delighted at the words of support and encouragement that we received from all those that attended."
