Belarus children visit the National Football Museum

14 children from Belarus visited the Museum on 28 June 2007 and enjoyed learning about the history of the English game, dressing up in old football kit and playing our popular Goalstriker game.

The children have been brought to England this summer to stay with local families by the charity Medicine & Chernobyl. The charity works to relieve the potential sickness of Belarus children affected by radiation following the explosion at the Chernobyl Nuclear power plant in 1986 and to develop links between the UK and Belarus.
