Preston M&L Easter Cup 2008
The National Football Museum is looking forward to hosting a welcome reception for this year's M & L Easter Cup which is being held in Preston between 21 and 24 March.
The Easter Cup was established in 1996 and offers young footballers aged between 10 and 16 years a unique opportunity to play on superb facilities at Preston Sports Arena in a friendly competitive environment.
This year's event is bigger and better than ever. Over 3000 people will be descending on Preston on each of the 4 days of the event; all with one goal in mind….to get their hands on the prestigious Easter Cup!
Easter Cup founder Gavin McIntyre said “We're delighted to be using the National Football Museum for our Managers Welcome Reception on the evening of Friday 21st March when Preston's Mayor will officially welcome the teams to Preston.
It really is fantastic to see so many youngsters come together from across the UK to express themselves doing what they enjoy most – simply playing football! Over the four days, 1400 youngsters will compete in over 12,000 minutes of football”!
For the first time this year, teams competing will also be given the opportunity to attend coaching sessions with Preston North End's first class coaches.
