The Lever Prize trophy with the designer Mandy Fairclough

The National Football Museum short-listed for Lever Prize 2008.

The North West Business Leadership Team (NWBLT) has just announced that the National Football Museum, Tate Liverpool and the Lake District Summer Music have been shortlisted for the 2008 Lever Prize. The judging session will take place in September and the winner will be announced in January 2008.

Geoffrey Piper from NWBLT commented that he was “delighted to have received such high quality applications from around the region. The shortlisting has been a really difficult decision and making the final choice is going to be an extremely hard.”

The 2007 Lever Prize Winner was the Manchester International Festival.

NWBLT launched the Lever Prize in 2005, an annual award for world-class arts organisations in the North West. The prizewinner receives a £10,000 cash prize and the opportunity to work closely with NWBLT member companies during their winning year. The Lever Prize is judged by NWBLT with support from Culture Northwest and Arts and Business North West.
