Visit by Eddie O'Hara MP to the National Football Museum
The National Football Museum was delighted recently to welcome Eddie O'Hara, MP for Knowsley South, with members of his family. Mr. O'Hara and his party toured the Museum with Kevin Moore, Museum Director.
Eddie O'Hara was very impressed with the Museum, and commented:
"The National Football Museum contains a unique and extensive collection of football memorabilia which will fascinate football fans of all ages and levels of knowledge and interest in the game. But it is much more than a mere collection. It uses all the up to date museum methods such as theming, presentation and interaction to demonstrate the social and historical context in which football developed and continues to develop".
Eddie O'Hara has an extensive knowledge of the European museums sector, as he is Museums Rapporteur of the Council of Europe.
Kevin Moore, Museum Director, said: “We were delighted to welcome Mr. O'Hara and members of his family to the Museum. Given his great knowledge of museums in a European context, we were delighted that he was so complimentary about the National Football Museum ”.
