2007 Streetwise Launch Evening - 23 July National Football Museum
The National Football Museum was pleased to offer its facilities for the launch of Streetwise 2007.
Streetwise is a partnership of local organisations playing a significant part in engaging young people positively in sport, art and volunteering within Preston 's priority wards. It has led to significant reductions in youth nuisance in many areas across the city. The Museum is a partner in this important work.
The launch event was a great success with over 80 people at the Museum to see the formal launch of this year's programme by Councillor Christine Abram, Mayor of Preston. The highlight of the evening was a delightful Streetfeet Presentation by The St Matthew's & St Joseph 's Street dancers and the Neighbourhood Management Presentation of Football Kit to Greenlands FC.
Mr Iain Mackie (Streetwise Programme Manager) said: "I would like to thank the National Football Museum for its support in putting on tonight's event and its ongoing support through hosting the monthly meetings of Streetwise."
