International Women's Day 2008
Saturday 8 March 1.00pm – 3.00pm
Saturday 8 March is International Women's Day and the National Football Museum will be celebrating with Preston's female football heroes, the Dick Kerr Ladies. Members and relatives of the Dick Kerr Ladies football team will be at the Museum to sign memorabilia for the public and to meet footballs future superstars the Preston North End junior girl's team. The event will be attended by Edna Sibbert, whose mother started the Dick Kerr Ladies football team in 1917, and Gloria Butcher, the aunt of Hall of Fame inductee Joan Whalley.
