One Aim - One Game: a Film about Football and Friendship in Deepdale

The film, 'One Aim - One Game: a Film about Football and Friendship in Deepdale', is now showing at the National Football Museum.

This engaging and funny film has been produced by a group of young Asian women from the Deepdale area of Preston during a project led by Belinda Scarlett, Access Officer at the National Football Museum, and the Youth and Community Service in Preston.

The young women have been working with a professional film producer, Emily Voelker, to create a film that explores the history of women's football and their experiences of the game. All of the young women who took part in the project have links to the Deepdale area of Preston and the film looks particularly at this lively and close-knit community.

The film was premiered at the Museum on Saturday 11th November 2006. This vibrant event was attended by a number of local dignitaries, including the Deputy Mayor of Preston Councillor Bhikhu Patel and his wife. The evening was also attended by friends and family of the young women who took part in making the film and it was a fantastic evenng for all the young people involved.
