Please note that this is a partner event being held at the National Science and Media Museum in Bradford.

The Sporting Heritage, Photography and TV Conference will be held at the National Science and Media Museum in Bradford on Tuesday 28 and Wednesday 29 November. See some of the country’s leading academics come together as they look at:

    •       Curatorial areas - with different individual, businesses and institutions leading on different subjects

    •       Raising awareness - Sharing collections - through loans and transfers

    •       Wider issues of education, economy and regeneration

Attendees will be able to explore the exhibition, display and outputs of the sporting past as captured through photography and broadcast TV. There will also be a number of workshops available.

Belinda Monkhouse, Collections Officer at The National Football Museum, will be a key speaker at the event, discussing the hidden history of women's football. Belinda will be presenting a history of photography in women's football from the late nineteenth century onwards,
