Jimmy Glass Boots, Carlisle United 1998-99 Great Escape
Jimmy Glass and Carlisle United faced Plymouth Argyle on the final day of the season needing a win to avoid relegation to the Conference. Deep into stoppage time, with the score 1-1, goalkeeper Jimmy Glass came up for a corner and netted the winner to save the Cumbrians from the drop.

Jimmy came to carlisle utd and forgot his boots.He came down to our sports shop in Carlisle ,namely Chivers Sports ,and asked for some boots which were not expensive as they were only for a few games and would then get back into his existing boots when he went back to his parent club. The rest is history and glad we could be in someway part of that special occasion in the life of Carlisle utd.
