So thrilled to find this cap here at the museum as Jimmy gave away quite a few of his medals and caps. I was wondering how you came across it? It was awarded for the match against Belgium, which was England’s first home match against a foreign team. Previously they had only played ‘home’ international matches.

    Hi James,

Like many objects in our collection, the cap came to our attention via a private collector and was kindly loaned to us for our temporary exhibition ‘The Greater Game’, which covered football and the First World War.
