Learning & Outreach
The National Football Museum’s exciting learning programme uses unique objects and amazing stories to enthuse and engage. Our sessions use the hook of football to bring cross-curricular learning to life.
Children can unearth the links between football and the Great War, discover the power of electricity through football floodlights, or transform terrace chants into spoken-word poetry. Our lessons teach children and young adults about maths, science, design and literature in a unique, creative and refreshing way.
Using the appeal and accessibility of football to reach a diverse audience is key to the work of our Learning and Communities team. We regularly hold inspiring sessions with schools, colleges and local community groups.
We aim to deliver our engaging workshops and lessons to wider audiences, and are working to produce digital resources for teachers and practitioners to access remotely, bringing the National Football Museum into classrooms across the country.
