Gary Lineker: contemporary collection callout

Did you take part in displaying opposition or support for the BBC’s response to Gary Lineker’s social media post?

The National Football Museum is looking to collect items associated with this national talking point. We are particularly keen to hear from people who may have produced banners or placards, such as those seen at such as Leicester City’s game with Chelsea.

Gabrielle Heffernan, the National Football Museum’s Director of Content said: ‘As the national museum of English football, we have a responsibility to collect and share not only the game itself, but its influence on life beyond the pitch, and the ways in which football can be a force for social change. If you have an image or object that could form part of our collections, we would be pleased to hear from you.’
