The National Football Museum offers a range of sessions for Higher Education and Further Education pupils.
Early History of Football
Learn about pre-Association Football from mob-football, uppies and downies and public school games, to the hand written laws of the game following the formation of the Football Association in 1863. Be inspired by our unique collection, looking at football as a working class game, the changes from amateurism to professionalism, and its worldwide popularity as a modern game. First Division
Football and Maths are perfect team-mates! First Division uses the unique hook of football to build confidence in numeracy. This fun interactive session is aimed at young people with low ability and confidence in maths. Discover the history of women’s football from the 1890s to the present day. Take a look at a variety of historical sources and relive the past through drama – exploring topical ideas around democracy, equality and rights.
