Children’s Football Writing Festival 2021 Calendar

As a curtain-raiser to this year’s Football Writing Festival, we are hosting a day-long family-friendly celebration event, encouraging children to pick up a pen and transfer some of their football flair to paper.

The jam-packed programme of activities will include:

• Skills workshops from Seth Burkett (former professional footballer in Brazil and Sri Lanka, before playing futsal internationally)
• Football writing training from Ultimate Football Heroes author Matt Oldfield
• Test your own talents in the Play Gallery! The best scores from our Penalty Shootout, Shot Stopper goalkeeping challenge, Pass Master test and more will receive loads of goodies in some specially made bundles courtesy of Walker Books
• Special guest appearances from football / futsal experts around the City of Manchester!

The Children's Football Writing Festival activities are included as part of your admission ticket. Penalty Shootout costs £2 per three penalties.
