FWF 2022: Fabrice Muamba & Nedum Onuoha Calendar

7 November 2022 - 7 November 2022
7pm - 9pm

Muamba & Onuoha

* Please note that due to impending rail strikes, our A New Formation panel will no longer be in attendance. *

Our Football Writing Festival double header features two fascinating in conversation talks, featuring two former Premier League stars.

First up, ITV's Jam Williams-Thomas will be joined by former Bolton Wanderers and England under-21 star Fabrice Muamba. The midfielder racked up 130 top-flight appearances with Wanderers prior to suffering a cardiac arrest on the pitch. He has since moved into journalism and coaching, and will be sharing his remarkable story with the National Football Museum audience.

Our second panel features a former Premier League fixture. With over 150 Premier League appearances to his name, Nedum Onuoha was part of Manchester City's meteoric rise to the top of English football, before spending seven seasons as an integral part of the Queen's Park Rangers line-up.

Nedum's autobiography, Kicking Back, covers the highs and lows of his professional career, beginning at the age of 10 in City's academy, right through to his time in the MLS. In his book, Nedum also considers his place in the sport as a black footballer, both in this country and Stateside during the Black Lives Matter movement.

The former centre-back will be sharing his remarkable experiences, insights and anecdotes with host Hugh Ferris at the National Football Museum. Join us for an entertaining, riveting and powerful exploration of Nedum's life in the game.

Tickets £12 / £10. Click here to book online.
