Learn more about the remarkable story of legendary Manchester City goalkeeper Bert Trautmann, the ex-paratrooper who went on to make over 500 appearances for City and win the FA Cup in 1956, famously playing on with a broken neck.

Historian and author of Manchester City Folklore Gary James will be joining us for our latest Half Time Talk discussing Trautmann’s story from prisoner of war to his heroic effort in the ’56 Cup Final.

This thirty-minute talk is free for all museum visitors. No need to book; simply meet in the Pitch Gallery on the ground floor ahead of the designated time.
