8 March 2019 - 8 March 2019
2pm - 3pm

The National Football Museum will be celebrating International Women’s Day with a Q&A dedicated to the women’s game, featuring a host of influential figures from within the sport.

Join Season fanzine founder Felicia Pennant, BBC Sport’s Anna Thompson, Manchester City archivist Stephanie Alder and collaborative PhD student Amée Gill for a fascinating discussion on the history of the women’s game.

The quartet will be joined by former England international Liz Deighan, who will be talking about her first-hand experiences as a player, coach and club founder.

The museum will also launch its new strategy for 2019 and beyond, aiming to increase its representation of women in football to 50%.

Belinda Scarlett, Curator of Women’s Football, will be talking about this new approach, highlighting some of the objects recently added to the collection and displays, as well as revealing the museum’s plans ahead of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Join Belinda and the panel from 2pm for a unique insight into the women’s game from those who know it best.
