To celebrate Pride, the National Football Museum is running a series of dedicated tours, exploring the role of influential LGBTQ+ players within the history of the beautiful game, and the impact they have had on the game of our lives.

Learn more about key figures including Justin Fashanu, the UK's first openly gay male professional footballer, and Lucy Clark, the world's first openly transgender referee, as well as the initiatives of clubs such as Hackney Women and Altrincham and the work of bodies such as Football v Homophobia.

The tour runs for approximately thirty minutes, and is free to all National Football Museum ticket holders and City of Manchester residents. Join our interpreter on the Match Gallery at 1pm and find out more about the game's key LGBTQ+ figures.
