National Football Museum Hall of Fame ceremony
The 2017 National Football Museum Hall Of Fame inductees have been announced, and tickets are now on sale for the exclusive celebration dinner that will see these 9 great players honoured.
Tables and a limited number of individual tickets are available for the event, which takes place at the National Football Museum on 21 September 2017.
The inductees
The National Football Museum Hall Of Fame, supported by The PFA, will see 5 new players, as voted for by the Hall Of Fame selection panel and members of the Hall Of Fame, inducted on the evening. Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard will take his place, alongside fellow England centurion and Chelsea record-breaker Frank Lampard. Arsenal double-winner Bob Wilson will be inducted, as will West Ham's two-time FA Cup-winning captain Billy Bonds. The late Gary Speed will be honoured for his commitment to the game during a record-breaking career in top-flight football.
The FA support the Hall Of Fame by nominating female players for the Hall Of Fame. This year two Lionesses legends will be included. Kelly Smith has been described as "the first global superstar of English women's football" and remains England's leading international goalscorer. Winger Rachel Yankey has spent two decades at the pinnacle of the game, winning 129 caps for England and multiple trophies with Arsenal Ladies.
This year's Football For All inductee, as nominated by The FA, is Alistair Patrick-Heselton, a Team GB Paralympic silver medallist and England CP footballer, whose semi-professional career was stopped when he received life-threatening injuries in a car crash aged 23.
The Hall Of Fame historian panel have voted for Manchester United's 1909 FA Cup-winning captain Charlie Roberts; the club's first England international.

One of the most eagerly-anticipated celebrations in the football calendar, the National Football Museum Hall Of Fame is an intimate dinner event in recognition of the most dedicated and committed figures in football. Inductees are recognised by their peers, and often supported by colleagues and family at the event, making the ceremony a fantastic opportunity for attendees to celebrate with the legends of the game.
Including a 3 course dinner supplied by the team of chefs at GG Hospitality, a table of 10 at the Hall Of Fame is priced at £2000 +VAT, with a limited number of individual seats available at £220 +VAT.
