Sporting Memories: Pat Howard Calendar

20 January 2020 - 20 January 2020
10.30am - 12.00pm

This Monday's Sporting Memories group features Football League stalwart Pat Howard. A centre-half with over 500 first-team appearances to his name, Pat was a firm fixture in the Barnsley side of the mid-to-late sixties, and was one of the first names on Joe Harvey's Newcastle United teamsheet from 1971 onwards. Pat was part of the Magpies side that reached the 1974 FA Cup Final, and was also on the pitch during United's shock Third Round replay defeat at the hands of Hereford United two years previous. He later went on to turn out for the likes of Arsenal and Birmingham City.

Pat will be dropping in on our Sporting Memories group to share insight and stories from his incredible career, reminiscing about teammates and opponents and answering your burning questions about football in the sixties and seventies.

The session will be hosted in the Cinema area of the Match Gallery, and is free for all Sporting Memories attendees. Refreshments will also be provided.
