This half team, we want visitors to wear their hearts on their sleeves, showcasing the causes and social issues they care about via our Make Your Own Armband activity.

In June 2021, England captain Harry Kane wore a rainbow armband to show the team's support for LGBTQ+ communities. We're delighted to have this object on display at the start of the Match Gallery. Like many of our objects, it sends out a powerful message against discrimination, and serves as the inspiration for our latest craft activity.

Ahead of the UEFA Women's EUROs, we want our visitors to make your very own captain's armband, promoting and supporting causes that matter to them. This could be anything, from LGBTQ+ rights, climate change, women's football, anti-bullying, anti-racism - it's entirely up to you!

Those taking part will be given their own white fabric armband to colour in and decorate how they see fit. If you need more inspiration or would like to learn more about women's football and the social power of the game, our friendly team will be on hand to help.

The activity is entirely free and will be running between 10:30am and 12pm in the Pitch Gallery. Suitable for all ages!
