Uncover more of the hidden history of the women's game on one of our free dedicated tours, all this week at the National Football Museum.

Learn how the women's game grew during the First World War, drawing substantial crowds in the early parts of the twentieth century. Hear the story of Dick, Kerr Ladies, one of the game's most successful outfits, and find out why this popularity and success could not prevent the FA from banning women's football in 1921.

Chart the game's progress and rebirth through the kits, memorabilia and artwork, featuring many fascinating items from the expansive Chris Unger collection.

Our free women's football tours are being staged all this week bar Tuesday at 11:30am and 1:30pm. No need to book; just enquire about the tour at the Welcome Wing or on Level 1.
